Inspired by classic film noir, Crystal Easy pays homage while satirizing and subverting many of the tired tropes of the genre for a modern audience. Set on a typical college campus, the film follows the exploits of a student who imagines himself as a Bogart-esque detective and soon finds himself in over his head in a case that brings him face to face with reality.
